Let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance.

Day 3: The five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why

I guess if I really had to choose:
1) More Than Words, Extreme
2) How Far is Heaven, Los Lonely Boys
3) Passenger Seat, Death Cab for Cutie
4) Lucky, Colbie Caillat feat. Jason Mraz
5) Swallowed in the Sea, Coldplay

JUST SO YOU KNOW, this is killing me.

I hate choosing songs over others, because it's not about which songs are better than which, they're just different. You fit a song to a mood, or vice versa. They have their moments. They don't clamber to win favour, they co-exist in harmony (pun pun pun!). Think of it as an orb in which they live, and where everyday is Saturday, and where every word that someone says is like a song (Teddy Geiger anyone?).

Anyway...

More than words, because it reminds me of OBS and the ocean blue.

How far is heaven, because it isn't.

Passenger seat, because it's star-gazing playlist 101.

Lucky, because it's just that song you have to listen to when at a beach.

Swallowed in the Sea, for when the weather gets grey and the waves get grey. and then there's nothing more to do than embrace it. and get swallowed in the sea.

and all of the above, because sometimes they make me want to dance.

But this is mildly irrelevant, because every song that is worth bringing to a deserted island, is already in my head. It's times like these that I really pride myself on knowing my lyrics so well.

so googoogachuuu, we're good to go.
