Autopilot

I got this when I searched 'autopilot' haha

You know how that thing happens when you're trying to teach someone the lyrics to your favourite song and you suddenly can't figure out if it's because the two consecutive lines don't rhyme or if it's because you got the words wrong but somehow you can't, for the life of you, be certain of what the lyrics are? And then when you're not even trying, you could recite the entire song backwards forwards and even on your head.

Like when you're typing in your password to something you access at least a trillion times a day but once you pay attention to the actual buttons, you can't seem to remember if the 's' is a '5' or if the 'b' is a big B or a small b. And then you look away or you close your eyes, and suddenly your fingers remember again.

And like when you've played out the conversation in your mind every night for the past month before you sleep but when you actually stare confrontation in the face, you can't remember how lips work to make sounds or how eyebrows stay linear.

I don't know. Someone's been running the show and it's not me.
