Living legend

My friend died. He killed himself and he's dead.

We can sing, "O, death, where is your sting?" but I don't know him well enough to know if he could've sung this. I don't know if he was a Christian. I don't know where he is right now. But I pray, Lord, please, please bring him home to be with You. He was young, he had a good soul.

I almost forgot what name we used to call him. He had two first names. I almost forgot which one we used. And now, he's known by his full name. Because that's what's in the photos, that's what's in the papers. His mother made that - put it together, wrote it down, kissed his forehead, counted his toes.

O, death, why have you done this.
